AED Launches New Campaign to Support Arlington Businesses
Coming Soon! A new retail campaign to encourage residents, visitors and employees to shop and dine at Arlington stores and restaurants.

Difficult financial times can spell disaster for small businesses — and Arlington depends on our small retail businesses as key components of our economic sustainability and neighborhood character. Every dollar you spend in Arlington helps support the broader community, through jobs and sales taxes.

In times like these, small businesses need support from the community to weather the storm — Arlingtonians helping Arlingtonians. We'll be asking you to make a special effort to frequent small, homegrown local businesses. Buying coffee at Java Shack, eating out at one of Arlington's many excellent locally owned and operated restaurants, and buying gifts at Kinder Haus Toys, Le Village Marche or the Curious Grape — are all great ways to support Arlington's much-loved retail.

The People's Choice ABBIE Awards: honor Arlington's Best Businesses and are a great way to find Arlington's favorite local gems.

Arlington Economic Development is working with neighborhood partnerships and Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) to formulate the 2009 plan. Look for more information on how you can support Arlington's retail businesses and shop local — shop Arlington!
