First Shovel of Dirt: Late 2005
Doors Open: 1st Quarter 2007
Just the Facts:
- The 4-story condominium project includes 87 loft-style apartments. The unique design pays homage
to the lofts of New York City's Soho Village. The names "Wooster" and "Mercer" come from Soho Village
street names.
- Prices range from the low $700,000s to $2 million. Units average 1600 square feet. Premium suites
on the third floor average 2,000 square feet (with 18 foot ceilings) and feature cantilevered second-floor
areas.
- This is the first Arlington project for Abdo Development, a D.C. construction/development company
that specializes in luxury condominium, retail and market rate apartment development. They focus on
the urban core of Washington, DC and other close-in surrounding communities and, to date,
have completed over thirty development projects. While many of these developments include distressed
historic structures that required complete restoration and conversion, Abdo has also developed new
buildings that are built with the same quality and attention to detail as its historic properties.
Highlights:
- Concrete structure with brick facade...not "wood frame".
- Open flats with 10-foot ceilings. Mezzanine lofts with 17-foot ceilings and floating stairs. Penthouses
with 21-foot tall living spaces and private roof terraces.
- Massive windows, abundant natural light.
- Large courtyard with in-ground swimming pool (not rooftop), expansive sunning terrace, and private green space.
- Concierge desk, fitness room and club room.
- Private underground parking and bike storage.
- Designer kitchens, luxury baths and innovative lighting systems throughout.
