Development Spotlight: 1776 Wilson Boulevard Grand Opening
The much-anticipated 1776 Wilson Boulevard building is now complete. A grand opening ceremony was held earlier this month at the property, developed by Skanska USA.
1776 Wilson Boulevard has 108,753 square feet of Class A office space, 27,996 square feet of retail space, and 248 parking spaces. The project broke ground in early 2011 and made it possible to construct a new segment of N. Quinn Street between Clarendon and Wilson Boulevards, creating a much-needed connection between the blocks. A green roof, solar panels and other energy-efficiency measures helped this project earn a rating of LEED-Platinum from the U.S. Green Building Council. Conveniently located within walking distance of two Metro Stations, two dozen restaurants and multiple retail and hotel options, the new green building continues the sweeping transformation of Rosslyn’s western section.
Considered a ‘Brownfield’ redevelopment of a previously contaminated site, 1776 Wilson Boulevard marks the continued re-imagining of a stretch once occupied by car repair and tire shops.
